An all-purpose knife, ideal for small tasks: cutting vegetables into slices or strips, cutting cheese or removing fat from meat before cooking. The thin blade makes cutting easier and the utility knife has the advantage of being lighter and more manageable than a large chef's knife.
De Buyer's FK2 knives are designed to be the ultimate blend of toughness, sharpness, functionality and value for money. The blade is made of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel hardened to HRC56, which makes the edge stay sharp for longer. It is the perfect blend of the traditional, thick German blade and the light Japanese one, and has a more finely bevelled edge than traditional blades for improved sharpness.
The handle is robust and ergonomic with carbon-fibre composite which gives lightness and a strong grip. The handle moreover has an adjustable counterweight so that you can always find the perfect balance.
